In his inaugural address to the ninth edition of the Expo Pakistan at Expo Centre in Karachi, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif vowed a continuation of the government policies in industry and trade sectors.

Addressing the participants the prime minister said that the country will attain the target of 50 billion dollars exports in the remaining three years of his government’s tenure.

Nawaz said that the taxation system is being reformed to attract more foreign investment in the country.

He said the country will overcome the energy crisis by year 2018.

Nawaz Sharif said that the government was working hard and more electricity has been added to the system.

Prime Minister Sharif also distributed awards to the exporters.

Foreign exhibitors, from the countries of the region attending the exhibition being organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

Federal Minister of Commerce also addressed the inaugural ceremony of the ninth edition of the Expo Pakistan.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah received Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the airport on his arrival to Karachi today.
