Pakistan on path of progress against all odds, says PM Abbasi


ATTOCK: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Wednesday said Pakistan is on the path of progress and development despite numerous challenges.

He was addressing an event organized in connection with annual parents’ day of Cadet College Hassanabdal.

The premier appreciated the contribution of the college towards progress of the country through imparting quality education.

He announced that the federal government would fully fund the expansion programme of the college through its public sector development programme.

He also announced to fund integration programme of the college under which students from Balochistan will be afforded coaching opportunity to enable them to take admission in the institution.

He announced an endowment fund of 20 million rupees for the college and two-month salary for faculty and staff.

Later in the day, the premier inaugurated Burhan-Shah Maqsood section of Hazara Motorway.

The 47-kilometer-long segment of the Motorway, an important part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, was completed in less than three years. This is the second Motorway project in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa province after M-I.

The six-lane Hazara Motorway has a total length of 57 kilometer and it was being constructed in three phases.

It will benefit six million people of Hattar Industrial Area, Haripur, Havelian, Abbottabad and northern areas.
