Pakistan ready to respond to Indian adventurism, says PAF chief

KARACHI: Pakistan Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman Chief of Air Staff Sohail Aman on Thursday said that Pakistan is ready to respond to any adventurism by India, ARY News reported.

He was speaking to media after visiting International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2016 in Karachi on Thursday.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah Ni(M), Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana also visited IDEAS 2016 and witnessed activities and appreciated the quality and technology of the equipments and defence production showcased in the exhibition.

The air chief said that Pakistan knows how to handle India and its soldiers are prepared to respond to the Indian aggression.

He also advised India to avert efforts to destabilize peace in the region and come forward for the resolution to the Kashmir dispute.

Aman added that it will be ideal for the neighbouring country to take the road of dialogue for resolving the Kashmir issue.

“The Kashmir issue should be resolved on the basis of principles,” he added.

He termed Operation Zarb-e-Azb as a “complete war” against terrorism and said that no one should doubt the country’s defence capabilities.

The PAF chief also stated that Pakistan has signed a deal with Turkey for providing Mushshak jets to the country.

He said the country’s armed forces are vigilant at all times and ready to thwart any aggression by the enemy. He added that the Armed Forces are ready to defend the country in face of any misadventure by the enemy.

The Air Chief said it’s a big event in the defence industry and will promote Pakistani defence products.

He said that Pakistan is preparing Super Mushak jets for Nigeria and Qatar and signed an agreement with Turkey to sell 52 Super Mushak basic trainers during IDEAS 2016 expo. Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman also added that “We are not worried about India at all.”

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah said IDEAS 2016 is a big achievement, Pakistani defence products are among the best products in the world.

“We are professional army and ready to meet challenges of the modern world. Our technology meets international quality and standards.”

While visiting different stalls the dignitaries also lauded the arrangements and talked about the technology of different companies and appreciated foreign and local companies for taking part in IDEAS 2016.

Meanwhile, different MoUs were signed and products launches were held. An agreement was also signed between French Company and Pakistan to certify Pakistan’s defence equipments meeting international standards. Similarly, sideline conferences and visits of dignitaries, high officials were part of the exhibition.
