'Pakistan suffered $ 80bn loss in war against terrorism'

The Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan filed a written reply in the lower house regarding Pakistan’s loss in the war against terror in last five years.

In his reply, he told the House that 9,619 persons were killed in last five years due to war on terror.

Meanwhile, speaking in the House, the Parliamentary Secretary for Interior, Maryam Aurangzeb said extremist groups have been active throughout the country with their own ideology and motives.

She told the House that National Alien Registration Authority (NARA) has registered a total of 14369 aliens from January 2008 to August 2014 without biometrics.

Ms Aurangzeb told the House that several policy steps have been taken for controlling and improving law and order situation in the country. She said the government has prepared a new policy for strengthening internal security and to improve law and order.
