Pakistan Super League logo launched in colourful ceremony

The star-studded event was launched at a ceremony in Lahore.

Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shahryar Khan said international players including New Zealand’s Martin Guptill, Brendon McCullum and West Indies’s Chris Gayle among others would join the PSL, which would benefit national players.

The League would be held in February 2016, a month before the World T20 begins in India.

He also said the spectrum of PSL would be expanded.

PCB chairman Najam Sethi said winners will be awarded with $10 million prize money, whereas, each player will also earn over $50,000.

The logo for the league was also unveiled while Ali Zafar performed on stage, revealing the League’s anthem.  The national women cricket team was also present.

Besides several celebrities including Mahira Khan, Ayesha Omer, Nadia Hussain also attended the PSL launching ceremony.
