UAE Minister for Culture, Youth and Social Development, His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, honored the ceremony with his opening remarks.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shehryar Khan, Najam Sethi and Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari also stood beside His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
The countdown began as Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari pressed the button, followed by the PCB chief and Najam Sethi’s remarks.
Renowned actor and presenter Mohib Mirza and Sanam Saeed rocked the center-stage with their electrifying performance.
Pakistani heartthrob Ali Zafar and renowned global musician Sean Paul were also roped in to perform at the opening ceremony among several others.

The skippers of all five teams Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars were also led into the stadium followed by rest of the team members. Karachi Kings skipper Shoaib Malik accompanied Mr. Salman Iqbal, the owner of the highest paid PSL franchise, into the Dubai stadium.
