Pakistan terms Modi’s ‘proxy-war’ allegations baseless

TOP NEWS

Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said Pakistan rejected accusations leveled by the Indian Prime Minister Modi. She said both the countries should pursue dialogues to resolve contentious issues.

For restoration of peace, she said, and furthering relationships both the countries should avoid leveling allegations and work jointly.

She reiterated that Pakistan wanted cordial relations with its neighbouring country. Pakistan condemns terrorism on all fronts, she added.

The FO spokesperson said at least 5,000 soldiers of Pakistan embraced martyrdom in war against terror.

Modi, while addressing Indian armed forces personnel in Leh on Tuesday, had alleged that Pakistan was indulging in a proxy war killing innocent people in India.
