WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Aizaz Chaudhry has affirmed that Pakistan will not allow its territory to be used against any other country.

Speaking to a delegation of American journalists here, the envoy said the country has accomplished remarkable success in the war against terrorism, which was why law and order situation has significantly improved in the country.

He was briefing the eight-member delegation about the country’s role and achievements in the fight against militants. The delegation will be visiting Pakistan on a week-long trip soon.

Aizaz Chaudhry emphasized that wrong impression created about Pakistan needed to be discarded to see it in new light. With changing times, a positive picture of the country was emerging, he added.

The areas, which were infested with terrorists, had been cleansed of them by successful military operations, and work for socio-economic and infrastructural development was underway, the ambassador said.

He said Pakistan rejected terrorism in all its forms. It would not allow its territory to be used against any other country, he affirmed.

He told the journalists that foreign countries were making investments in Pakistan, including in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
