Pakistan trounce West Indies by 182 runs in Blind World T20

KARNATAKA: Pakistan thumped West Indies by 182 runs in their Blind World Twenty20 encounter at Karnataka on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

Pakistan, batting first, scored a record total of 373/4 in their given 20 overs with opener Muhammad Jamil scoring a blistering 100 runs from 36 balls with the help of 20 boundaries.

Riasat Khan made 94 runs from 32 balls after hitting nine boundaries and two sixes.

Muhammad Zafar made 46 runs from 14 balls while Mohsin Khan, Mati Ullah and Amir Ishfaq made 32, 27 and 24 runs respectively.

West Indies bowlers Ganesh Mithra Singh and Anthony Fritzgerald Cummins took one wicket each in the match.

The Carribean side, chasing a mammoth total of 374 runs to win, made 191/9 in their 20 overs. Dennal Deboya Shim scored 59 runs from 31 balls with six fours and two sixes to his name.

Leroy Orin Phillips made 36 runs from 34 deliveries with the help of four boundaries while Gregory Lee Stewart and Lo-Shane Omar Myles contributed 15 and 13 runs respectively for the side.

This is Pakistan’s eighth consecutive win in the competition. They started their campaign by beating New Zealand by 10 wickets and went on to defeat England by 97 runs.

The team’s biggest victory came against India as they won the match by seven wickets. They beat Sri Lanka by five wickets. Their fifth victory came against Nepal as they won their match by 10 wickets.

Pakistan beat South Africa by nine wickets and Bangladesh by 151 runs.
