“Pakistan will welcome the move if Afghanistan installs biometric system at its borders. Hopefully, Afghan land will not be used against Pakistan,” he said.

He said Pakistan could not overlook improvement of border system as it was mandatory.

Tariq Fatemi said both the countries could resolve the mutual issues through talks, therefore, PM’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has invited Afghanistan Foreign Minister to Pakistan.

“Drone attacks have put question mark over efforts made for peace process. The attacks are against the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan which should be stopped,” he said.

Meanwhile, Tariq Fatemi has sought support of Belarus and Kazakhstan to its application for joining the Nuclear Suppliers Group.

The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs spoke over telephone with Foreign Minister of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, and Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev today in connection with diplomatic outreach efforts to secure membership of the Group. Both Belarus and Kazakhstan agreed to maintain close collaboration with Pakistan on this issue.
