Pakistani pride makes it to Forbes entrepreneur’s list for 2015

Buksh foundation  was launched in 2009 by a domestic retail giant Buksh group. It is a micro finance institution that works to bring clean energy projects for rural areas in Pakistan.  The 28-year-old Fiza Farhan is the CEO and the director of the foundation that has trained 135 women as energy entrepreneurs. The foundation has also lightened up the lights of 6,750 households by providing them solar-powered lights and aims to bring huge betterment in the rural areas of the country.

Forbes every year arranges the list of 30 under 30 young people who are changing the world through their work. The magazine opts for people from all around the world for 15 different categories or even more than that ranging from entrepreneurs to educationist with the help of expert judge. Fiza Farhan has made it to the Forbes list of social entrepreneurs for 2015.

This is not the first time that any Pakistani has made it to Forbes list of 30 under 30 entrepreneurs. Last year, another Pakistani lady 24-year-old Shinza Shahid, who is the co-founder of Malala funds got her name in the list.
