ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly retaliated to Indian forces’ unprovoked ceasefire violation at Tatta Pani, in Poonch District, along the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday.
In a tweet message, DG ISPR said five Indian soldiers were killed and many other injured in the befitting response of the Pakistani side.

He said several Indian bunkers were also destroyed.

Earlier, the United Nations had expressed its concern over escalating tensions along the LoC with UN Secretary General Antonio Guetteres’ spokesperson saying, “ the secretary general is monitoring the situation.”
The foreign office had earlier on June 01 summoned Deputy Indian High Commissioner to protest against Indian firing, urging the New Delhi not to violate the 2003 ceasefire.
Given the strained bilateral relations between Pakistan and India owing to contentious issues, including held Kashmir, the ceasefire violations by Indian troops have become order of the day as they continue to target civilian population on this side of the LoC.
