Former army chief General (R) Pervez Musharraf will be celebrating his 72nd birthday today. Musharraf, who ruled Pakistan with an iron fist for 9 years after overthrowing the Nawaz Sharif-led government in 1999. The General, who also became the President of Pakistan, was forced to resign as President in 2008 after his ally political party PML-Q was decimated in the general elections 2008.
