LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Mian Shehbaz Sharif lambasted the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government over what he termed “irresponsibility” and efforts to “undermine the China Pakistan Economic Corridor”, ARY News reported.
Shehbaz was referring to a report in international economic magazine Financial Times which maintains that PM Imran Khan’s advisers have suggested to review the terms associated with CPEC.
“PTI government,
which is trying to undermine Pakistan-China strategic partnership, by speaking in the voice of our enemies on CPEC! We will resist & reject such conspiracies, our Chinese friends should rest assured,” Shehbaz wrote on Twitter.
The Financial Times’ report mainly quotes PM’s Adviser on Commerce and Ministery Abdul Razzak Dawood, who later contradicted the comments attributed to him in the report.
