Pakistan’s IT experts to attend ICT forum in Canada from May 23

ISLAMABAD/TORONTO: A Pakistani delegation comprising information technology experts will visit Canada to attend B2B meetings and IT forums in Toronto and Montreal from May 23-26, 2017.

According to a press release, the High Commission of Pakistan in Canada and the Ministry of International Trade, Government of Canada are supporting the event and will invite industry representatives, venture capitalists and outsourcing entities for B2B matchmaking and plenary meetings.

With the theme ‘Feel the Market – Unleash the Potential’ the event will serve as the first step towards entering the Canadian market with an organized and impactful representation of Pakistan’s ICT industry to interact with the leading ICT firms of Canada.

More than 400 executives of Canadian companies are being invited to the forum. Hence, attending the Pakistan–Canada Forum can generate new leads and business opportunities for Pakistan’s IT companies in the North American market.

In collaboration with PSEB and P@SHA, Pegasus Consultancy Pakistan is contacting and encouraging leading and emerging Pakistani enterprises to participate in the event. “Canada was in the top ten exports destinations of Pakistan’s IT companies during 2015-16. Canada’s Tech Sector contributed $117 billion or 7.1% to Canada’s economic output in 2015,” the statement concluded.
