He was addressing a press conference along with PTI leader Jehangir Khan Tareen and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, where he said that the march has been renamed as ‘Pakistan March’ to seek justice for the Model Town incident killings and for accountability of those named in the Panama Papers.
The cleric went on his usual diatribe against Nawaz Sharif, stating that Punjab government provides visas and protocol to agents of Indian intelligence agencies and employed them in their mills and business ventures. He said that Nawaz Sharif being the Prime Minister was a threat to the nation. He urged the people to come out of their homes in large numbers and rid the nation of the rulers.
Jehangir Tareen said that they have invited all political parties to participate in the march on 3rd September, which was accepted by several parties including PML-Q. He lamented that there was no progress over the inquiry on the Panama Papers.
Sheikh Rashid said that they have united on the agenda to remove Nawaz Sharif, but the final decision will be taken on the streets. He expressed disappointment that they received no justice from any forum despite sending disqualification notices to the Speaker National Assembly against Nawaz Sharif.
