PCB chief to make last-ditch attempt for Indo-Pak series

The PCB chairman has decided to contact the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) to ascertain their stand on the proposed series.

Sources informed that Khan will also give media briefing regarding the series today.

Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj was in Pakistan yesterday to attend Heart of Asia Conference, and reports were going rounds that talks on Pak-India series was likely. However, no development related to cricket transpired when she had a meeting with PM’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Sartaj Aziz.

Yesterday, India’s NDTV claimed that the ODI series between series will commence on December 25.

The South Asian giants are to play multiple bilateral series between 2015 and 2023 under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the two countries. Four of these series are to be hosted by Pakistan.

Both countries had expressed their differences over the venue of the series.

Pakistan was demanding Indian to play in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) however India refused to tour the Gulf without citing any reason.
