Pervaiz Rashid calls Imran Khan pioneer of offshore companies in Pakistan

“Six PTI members have offshore companies. Those putting allegations should first tell how many assets do they have? How much have they earned from them? Which products were they selling? They will have to answer for all they have got,” he said while addressing media in Islamabad.

He has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would present his stance about the opposition’s allegations in the parliament on Monday.

“Some opposition parties are trying to mislead the nation through telling lies,” he said.

To a question, he said that Supreme Court had given some guidelines for formation of the Terms of Reference (ToRs) and the prime minister will present this viewpoint in the National Assembly, Radio Pakistan reported.

He said the PM would also make announcement for talks with the opposition in the Parliament.

The minister said the government included all ToRs related to opposition allegations, but they do not want investigation but to politicize the issue.

He urged that there was need to adopt the path of truth in all segments of the society and instead of telling lies focus should be on ending the miseries of the people.

Pervaiz Rashid said that a section of the media has been airing baseless allegations against the government, but the government has not taken any action which may be interpreted as effort to curb the freedom of expression.

He asked the opposition to respect the sanctity of the Supreme Court and avoid issuing controversial statements.
