Peshawar bomb attack leaves eight policemen injured

A bomb device went off near a police mobile van at Peshawar’s Warsak Road leaving eight policemen wounded.

Rescue teams and law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene following the explosion. The victims were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital for medical treatment.

According to the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), four to five kilograms of explosives were used to carry out the bomb attack. The bomb device was detonated with remote control, BDS officials said.

The explosives were planted inside a ghee container in the device.

Law enforcement agencies surrounded the area following the bomb attack.

It should be noted that security forces had foiled a terrorist attack at Peshawar’s Warsak Road on September 2nd, when four terrorists had entered in the Christian Colony at the road.

An exchange of fire took place between the security forces and the attackers resulting in the death of two terrorists whereas another two terrorists blew themselves up.

A civilian also lost his life and three others were injured in the attack.
