Peshawar, some other districts of KP celebrating Eidul Fitr today

Eidul Fitr being celebrated in Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera and Bannu districts of KP on Friday after local moon sighting committee announced sighting of moon at various places in the province.

Two large congregations of Eid prayers in Peshawar were held at Eidgah and Bagh-e-Naran. Awami National Party leaders Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, Haji Adeel and other notables offered Eid prayers in Peshawar.

Eidul Fitr prayers in Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Bannu and North Waziristan tribal region also offered today.

Hazara and Malakand division people will celebrate Eid after the announcement of the moon sighting by Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee under Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman.

Eidul Fitr also being celebrated in Chaman on Friday, the border city of Balochistan adjoining Afghanistan, after the local moon sighting committee announced sighting of moon in the area.

The members of Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat also celeberating Eid today. The largest congregation of Eid was held at Tahiri Masjid at Karachi’s Saddar area. Large number of the people of Bohra community attended the prayers.

 

Eidul Fitr in Saudi Arabia, UAE and other countries

Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar observing Eidul Fitr on Friday after sighting of the Shawwal moon on Thursday, ARY News reported.

The moon was not sighted in Oman, hence Eid will fall on Saturday.

In the United States, according to an announcement of the Fiqh Council of North America, Eid will be celebrated on Friday.

Eidul Fitr being also celebrated in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Indonesia, Germany, Malaysia, Japan and Philippines on Friday (today), television channels reported.
