LAHORE: Government’s decision of increasing prices of petroleum products has been challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC), ARY News reported on Thursday.
Pakistan Justice Party (PJP) has filed the petition against the hike in prices of petroleum goods.
The party, in the petition stated, that government is failed to provide relief to the nation despite decreasing oil prices in the international market.
The petition said that the federal government is increasing the POL prices without any reason.
It was also mentioned in the plea that the government have no moral or legal right to hike the prices and additional costs could not be collected without approval of the federal cabinet.
The party has pleaded to the court to declare the government decision of increasing petroleum prices as void.
