Life in Punjab has paralyzed and people have to wait for hours in long queues at petrol stations across the province for fuel due to the shortage.

The prime minister has expressed his anger on the private petrol companies and Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) for not keeping the required reserves. He has instructed the concerned authorities to resolve the overdraft issue of Pakistan State Oil (PSO).

PM Nawaz, after returning from his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, had suspended four high-ranking officials including the Secretary Petroleum and Managing Director of PSO after they were held responsible for petrol shortage in the province.
