PFUJ to protest against possible closure of ARY News

PFUJ president, Rana Azeem told that if an unjust action was taken against ARY News, then the PFUJ will resort to a countrywide protest campaign, under which a demonstration will be held outside the Punjab Assembly on February 23.
On February 25, protest demonstrations will be held outside all the assemblies in Pakistan, he added.
Azeem further said that the journalist fraternity will stage a huge demonstration outside the Pemra office on February 28.
Meanwhile, PFUJ leader Afzal Butt said that reports are pouring in that a plan is under consideration to shut down ARY News.
He warned that any such move will be fully thwarted.
Butt vowed that a full-fledged protest campaign will be initiated all over the country, if the government or any institution tried to shut down any channel including ARY News.
