Pk director Rajkumar Hirani falls off bike, injures himself

If you think director Rajkumar Hirani was attempting any stunt, stay rest assured he wasn’t.

Director of the famous Bollywood flick which broke all records overnight, Pk, Rajkumar Hirani fell off from a bike he was riding and injured himself. Hirani fractured his jaw and a deep gash on the chin. However, his injuries were non-serious and according to hospital sources, he was recuperating.

A hospital official told news agency IANS: “He is getting discharged. He is absolutely fine and nothing serious.”

Mr Hirani was taken to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital early on Tuesday, after he fell from the motorbike he was riding. The director was riding a bike which was owned by his employee. It was a Royal Enfield Bullet bike.

Actor Aamir Khan, who starred in Hirani’s directed films 3 Idiots and the latest sensational hit Pk, also visited the injured director at the hospital and provided a health update on Twitter.

For all those concerned about Raju Hirani, I have just met him in hospital. He is doing fine, and will be discharged this evening.

Rajkumar Hirani also directed the Munna Bhai series with actor Sanjay Dutt. The creative director has a flare for innovation and directing movies that feature stellar plots and humour.
