ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) is responsible for the aggravating economic situation of the country.

In an interview to a private news channel, he said the PML-N leadership has no justification to criticise the PTI government’s economic policies.

To avoid tough conditions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the government had approached friendly countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and others for seeking financial assistance he added.

The minister said the PPP and PML-N learnt corruption tactics from each other. To a question, he said former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif had transferred the looted national wealth abroad.

Chaudhry said plea bargain might be an option to get money back from the corrupt elements.
