The plea filed in the court said the Supreme Court (SC) had already directed the government to constitute a parliamentary committee on the issue of Panama Leaks and the government was seriously engaged in preparing ToRs. However, the opposition was trying to sabotage government’s sincere efforts.

The complainant, Advocate A K Dogar said the SC had clearly declared that every institution including the opposition should be loyal to the government, after which the opposition’s distrust was illegitimate.

“Panama Leaks is a serious issue. Serious steps are required on this issue rather than politicizing it. We have laws in our country to probe any incident. Under these laws, crucial matters have been investigated in the history of our country,” said Dogar.

He said the government had, therefore, been directed to form tribunal and ToRs under inquiry commission act, while the opposition had also been directed to stop interfering in ToRs, so that Panama Leaks investigation could be saved from being controversial and legal action could be taken against the real culprits.
