KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday felicitated one of the founding members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Dr Arif Alvi on success in presidential election, ARY News reported.
“Congratulations to Dr Alvi on being elected president,” he wrote on his Twitter account and shared a picture from early days of the party with the caption “When our world was younger!”.

The two chambers of the Parliament – National Assembly and Senate – and four provincial assemblies elected Arif Alvi as 13th president of Pakistan with a sizable majority.
Dr. Arif ur Rehman Alvi is a founding member and former secretary general of the PTI. He was born on August 29, 1949.
Pakistan Peoples Party leaders including Asif Zardari and Sherry Rehman have also congratulated Arif Alvi on this achievement.
