PM Nawaz reaches Dasu to express sympathy with earthquake victims

On the visit, the Prime Minister reprimanded the administration for not asking for a helicopter for the relief activities. Meanwhile, Pakistan Army, Gharib Nawaz and Ehsaas Trust were busy in providing aid to the injured.

The Prime Minister also issued directives to supply the earthquake victims with medicine, blankets and necessary items of daily use. The Prime Minister was briefed on the difficulties being faced due to the complex roads.  Nawaz Sharif then reprimanded the administration for not asking for a helicopter instead, to help out the victims.


“When the roads were closed, then why wasn’t a helicopter asked for, to provide relief to the people?” he asked.

Nawaz also asked the DC how people were living without blankets and medicines? After which he directed immediate provision of medicine to the affected areas. After the Prime Minister, KPK Chief Minister Pervez Khattak also slammed the DC, telling him that the excuse of not transporting heavy machinery in affected areas would not do.

During the briefing, KPK Chief Minister informed Nawaz Sharif regarding the death and destruction caused by the earthquake.
