ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s wife Kulsoom Nawaz in a London hospital.
According to a statement, the prime minister issued directives for provision of all facilities to the family and heirs of Kulsoom Nawaz as per law.
Ms Nawaz, who had been battling cancer at the London’s Harley Street Clinic, died today.
The prime minister further directed the Pakistani High Commission in London to assist the deceased’s family members in provision of all necessary facilities.
He said Kulsoom Nawaz was a brave lady.
Separately, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed his grief and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family on the demise of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
In a tweet posted by ISPR Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor, the army chief prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul.
