PM Khan reiterates his resolve for business friendly environment in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday reiterated his government’s resolve to provide maximum facilities for enabling business-friendly environment for the investors in the country.

This he stated while talking  to Chairman Shanghai Electric Power Wang Yundan, who along with a delegation called on PM in Islamabad here today.

Mr Wang Yundan briefed the prime minister about his company and evinced keen interest to invest in Pakistan’s power sector.

The premier welcomed Shanghai Electric Power’s decision to make investment in the power sector, and said government is committed to create business friendly environment to attract foreign investments.

On November 30, another Chinese company, JW Forland automobiles assembly plant project, had launched its operations in Pakistan with an investment up to $900 million in Pakistan to fully assemble automobiles parts in the country for the first time.

Addressing in the inaugural ceremony, the prime minister had said the project would initially create 5,000 employment opportunities which are likely to increase with the march of time as 45,000 people would be employed by it eventually.
