PM Sharif arrives in Karachi to chair key security meeting

Nawaz Sharif was accompanied by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah received the prime minister on his arrival.

He will leave for Governor House where he will chair a law and order meeting.

The provincial government will brief the prime minister about the steps taken to implement the National Action Plan against terrorism in the province during the meeting.

The joint investigation report of the Baldia Town factory fire is also expected to be discussed in the meeting.

Premier Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, Director General Rangers Sindh Major General Bilal Akbar, Chief Minister Sindh  Syed Qaim Ali Shah will attend the law and order meeting.

General Raheel Sharif has arrived in Karachi earlier today. He paid a visit to the Rangers Headquarters where D.G. Rangers Sindh briefed him about the achievements of the law enforcement agencies in the ongoing operation in Karachi.
