PM Sharif castigates ‘lying’ political opponents

NAROWAL: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday once again castigated political opponents for being an impediment in the country’s progress and development.

“They are used to blatant lies, those which do not even an ouch of truth,” he said while addressing the inauguration of the National Health Programme.

However, he warned that people will not fall prey to their lives. “There are meatless day twice a week, but their lies have no end in sight,” he said.

The prime minister called out his opponents to help in the nation-building, and if not then they should not create obstacles in his path. He warned that such blatant lies and baseless allegations will hurt the political opponents themselves.

He said that world is acknowledging the progress of Pakistan, while some people within are raising objections over it. “The nation is tired of hearing such lies and this sort of politics if dangerous and destructive for Pakistan.”

Furthermore, he said that peace has been gradually restored to the nation, and terrorism has been curtailed. This is also evident from the best performing stocking exchange in Asia.

“In 2013 there were protests across the country, and by labourers of factories,” he said. “Now with the grace of Almighty Allah we have controlled the menace of terrorism in the country”

PM Sharif promised to address the grievances of the people of Narowal, and return another day to solve their political issues. He said that he receives more satisfaction from services to humanity than political work.

He announced that 160,000 health cards are being issued to people to receive quality healthcare for themselves and their families. This will provide health coverage up to Rs250,000 rupees from the Bait-ul-Mal treasury.

The programme will include the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as bypass surgeries or angioplasty treatme as well as other complicated and expensive treatments such as diabetes.
