PM to release more inclusive re-recorded National Anthem on Aug 14

A more inclusive re-recorded National Anthem, including 155 vocalists, 48 musicians, and 6 band-masters, would be released on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of the country. 

The Federal government ordered to re-record a more inclusive, diverse, and gender-neutral National Anthem on August 14, 2022. The anthem has been re-recorded after 68 years.

The steering Committee, responsible for re-recording the anthem, applied an all-inclusive, gender-balanced approach and enlisted vocalists from diverse regional, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, from all religious faiths and musical genres. 48 musicians from the army, air force and navy bands skilfully played the musical instruments.

The re-recorded anthem would signify and celebrate the rich diversity of Pakistan and reflect the unique national identity and solidarity of the people of the country.

Some of the renowned vocalists that sang the re-recorded anthem are listed below.

Abdullah Qureshi, Abid Brohi, Ahmed Jahanzeb, Ali Hamza, Alycia Dias, Arif Lohar, Bilal Saeed, Fakhir Mehmood, Fariha Pervez, Goher Mumtaz, Haroon Shahid, Humaira Javed, Sahir Ali Bagga, Sanwal Esakhelvi, Shuja Haider, Taj Mastani, Tina Sani, Umair Jaswal, and Zeb Bangash.

Prime Minster Shehbaz Sharif would officially release the official National Anthem on the occasion of the Independence Day celebration on August 14, 2022.
