PM wants upgradation of schools

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says all schools must have necessary facilities to help children grow academically and enlighten name of the country.

He was addressing a ceremony to distribute new vans among educational institutions in Islamabad.He prayed that all children may become the source of proud of Pakistan.

“I’ve asked Maryam to make sure all school buildings in Islamabad, that are around 422, should be renovated with all facilities,” he said.

He said Maryam Nawaz was herself personally looking into affairs of betterment of schools.

The Prime Minister said 70 buses have been procured and he has given instructions for purchase of remaining 130 on priority bases. He said preference should be given to girl schools and rural areas to help resolve transportation problem of girl students.

Mr. Sharif said he has also directed the Mayor of the Federal Capital to concentrate on improvement of sanitation, roads, streets and overall environment of Islamabad. He hoped that as a result of a multi-dimensional approach being adopted by the Government for uplift of the Capital, Islamabad would soon become one of the best cities of the world.

Earlier in her address, PM’s daughter Maryam said after upgradation of schools there wont be any different between private and government alma maters.

She was of the view that government was working “round the clock” to improve quality of education.
