TOP NEWS

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday refuted the media reports about Saudi Arabia conditioning its grant with the release of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif, ARY News reported.

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said the report about Nawaz Sharif’s release and Saudi Arabia’s aid was baseless and fabricated.

Expressing resentment over the misreporting, she asked media to refrain from running any news without authenticating it through an established source.

“Only the news released by the spokesperson about Nawaz Sharif will be deemed to be authentic,” she said.

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Muhammad bin Salman will arrive in Pakistan on Feb 17 for a two-day long visit.

As per sources privy to Saudi Arabia’s embassy, agreements worth $20 billions are expected to be signed during his visit to Pakistan.

“Accords worth $20 billion, including the project of setting up oil refinery, will be inked between the two countries,” sources said.

On the other hand, the preparations to receive the visiting dignitary to Pakistan are all set and the government has decided to accord an ‘unmatched’ welcome to him with JF-17 Thunder jets as the Saudi Arabian delegation enters Pakistan’s airspace.
