ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Asif Kirmani on Saturday said that his party upholds the supremacy of law and the premier’s sons – Hassan and Hussain Nawaz – appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in line with Panamagate verdict, however he asserted that the party would utilise its legal rights against any prejudiced attitude by JIT in the top court.

He was talking to newsmen outside Federal Judicial Academy along with other PML-N leaders, who reached there to express solidarity with Hussain Nawaz who appeared before the JIT for fourth time within a week.

“The party only demands justice. However, on any misconduct and unfair behaviour towards us by JIT during the interrogation, we would go to the Supreme Court by using our legal right besides highlighting the matter in the media”, he said.

Kirmani said that the premier was elected by the people, adding that the PML-N respects the judiciary and the appearance of prime minister’s sons has proved it. ” Our party respects the rule of law but anticipates the same for Nawaz Sharif as the premier”, he added.

He came down hard on the opposition leaders over demanding accountability of the premier by stating that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan could not provide financial details of last three years while Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is giving all financial details of last 70 years.
