FAISALABAD: Faisalabad police have so far failed to recover a nomad woman and her daughter who were kidnapped by some drug peddlers from Samandari area of the city, family members of victims told ARY News on Tuesday
According to ARY News correspondent, three suspected drug peddlers on Monday kidnapped a 20-year-old woman, her seven-year-old daughter and her brother from Samandri area. The abductors also injured one of woman’s brothers for resisting the abduction attempt.
The police have so far failed to locate the criminals and abductees despite the fact that the abductors released the kidnapped woman’s brother late Monday night.
Sources also say that Dijkot police has so far not even registered a case against the accused.
Soon after the incident on Monday, area residents accused police of protecting the influential criminals, who, they say, are known drug peddlers and pay extortion to some law enforcement personnel.
The police could only manage to arrest two suspects on the indication of the victims’ family after the hours long protest.
The victims are said to be from a nomad family and have accused three residents of Arif Town area namely Saddam, Abdullah and Shahnawaz of kidnapping the 20-year-old woman and her minor daughter.
