Police record statement of relatives in mysterious murder of seven family members

HYDERABAD: Police on Thursday recorded statements of relatives in mysterious murder of seven members of a family in an outskirts area of Hyderabad, ARY News reported.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sarfaraz Nawaz said police could not find evidence of a robbery or any other incident. He said the house was closed from inside and it was opened after climbing it.

He said police was investigating the incident from every aspect.

The police officer said chemical examination of the organs availed in post-mortem would be conducted. He said a special team of University of Karachi had also obtained samples from the house.

Seven bodies of a family were recovered from a house in Rahuki, a town of Tando Jam near Hyderabad, on Wednesday.

Detailing the media about the incident, the SSP had earlier said the police team had reached the spot after being informed about the presence of bodies.

No marks of torture were found on the bodies, the SSP had said and added that bodies were about 48-hours old.

The bodies included a couple and their 5 children. “Further investigation into the incident was underway,” the local police had said.
