Political Crisis: Next 72 hours very important, says Altaf

MQM Chief Altaf Hussain in a statement, has said that the time is passing rapidly adding that the next 72 hours are crucial in the ongoing political turmoil.

The MQM leader has directed all senior members of the party to reach Islamabad.

He urged the government and the protesting parties to feel the seriousness of the situation and resolve problems with meaningful dialogue.

Altaf said that the country facing internal and external challenges and the national exchequer has suffered over 800 billion rupees losses till now.

The MQM leader said he has formed a committee of the party’s senior members to hold consultations with all political parties over the situatiion.

Altaf said that the most demands of Dr. Tahirul Qadri represent the aspirations of the people, which are not against the constitution and the law. The government should take steps to accept these demands, he said.

He called for speedy decisions to resolve the turmoil adding that the next 72 hours are extremely important.
