Unknown assailants lobbed a cracker on a Rangers checkpost near Korangi crossing in Karachi, injuring three paramilitary personnel. The blast flattened a wall of the Rangers post.
This was the third cracker attack on Rangers checkpost in a week.
A while after the attack, the DG Rangers, Major General Bilal Akbar reached the site and inspected it. He told that 400-500 gram explosives containing nails were used in the attack.
He said that ‘members of a political party are carrying out cracker attacks on Rangers’ checkposts’.
Gen Akbar said the culprits will soon be apprehended. He also lauded the role of police in fully assisting the Rangers for the restoration of peace in the megapolis.
