Political, religious leaders condemn Gujrat hand chopping incident

Religious scholar Mufti Naeem while condemning the barbaric incident lamented that the country’s Judicial and political system is under the yoke of feudal lords.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed opined that such incidents cannot be stopped until and unless the culprits are punished severely.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Waseem Akhter said that women and children are facing right abuses and torture in Punjab while PML-Q leader Samina Khawar Hayat was of the view that neither the Punjab Police has any system nor they are accountable to anyone.

The ruling PML-N’s Zaeem Qadri too condemned the incident and said that the SP and DSP of the area should be relieved of their duties as soon as possible in such cases.

In a barbaric and inhumane incident in Punjab’s Gujrat district, a landlord chopped off both the hands of a minor child over a petty issue.

Cruel landlord, identified as Ghulam Mustafa alias Nomi, cut off the hands of a minor boy by forcing them into a machine over a minor issue. Child’s mother told media that her family had no enmity with anyone.The landlord has been arrested.
