KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain while terming the Protection of Pakistan Ordinance 2014 a ‘black law’ revealed that his party men supported the law without proper consultation, ARY News reported.

MQM chief said that supporting the law was a decision made in haste and MQM wants the law to be used against terrorists and hopes that its implementation would end with the current military operation in North Waziristan Agency.

Speaking to journalists at Karachi Press Club, MQM chief clarified that his party is not protesting but is staging a rally to show solidarity with Pakistan Army.

Altaf Hussain maintained that decision to support Tahir-ul-Qadri  will be taken by his party but a revolution will come no matter who brings it, adding that even if a General will come up and end feudalism, MQM will support him.

MQM chief informed media that his party will also organise a rally after Eid, which will show that which party Karachi’s Pukhtoons are supporting.

In the end, MQM chief urged cable operators not to budge under any pressure and continue broadcasting ARY News.
