KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilwal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday lambasted the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for bad governance and economic situation in the country, ARY News reported.
“The PTI government has unleashed an economic tsunami in the country, which is creating difficulties for people. Gas price has soared to more than 140 percent,” he said dressing down the government, while talking to media.
He said the ministers were giving irresponsible statements even on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project.
The PPP chief asked where the promises of giving masses relief had gone, while they were the ones being most affected from the government’s policies.
He expressed apprehension that lest Pakistan will be blacklisted owing to the economic situation.
Hinting towards making an alliance with the former ruling party, he said the PPP could collaborate with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for redressal of issues.
Bilawal said justice should be served whether it was an opposition leader or a common man. He said arrest of Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif ahead of the by-polls would send a wrong message.
He said the government’s measures against National Finance Commission award would be undemocratic. It would directly hurt the federation, he said.
The PPP chairman also said he would like to welcome the chief justice of Pakistan to Thar. He said the CJP would get to see the work done by the Sindh government in the last five years. He said the government had made Thar 20 years advanced.
