PPP gives ultimatum to Govt for ending power crises


A protest by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is underway outside K-Electric office in Karachi. PPP Senator Raza Rabbani gave a one-month ultimatum to the centre for ending loadshedding in the country.

Raza Rabbani, while addressing the protest, said that the circular debt was paid by saying that the power crises will end soon but the situation is the same. He added that privatization of state institutions will not be allowed in any situation.

The senator also announced to support labours after calling Prime Minister Nawaz as a representative of capitalists.

He also criticized the government for imposing Article 245 in Islamabad.

It should be noted that protests against power outages are underway in many parts of Sindh.

A protest was held at Hyderabad in which citizens alongwith PPP workers were present. PPP workers also staged protests at Dadu Press Club against power outages.

Angry citizens blocked the National Highway to protest against prolonged loadsheddings at Mirpur Mathelo.

Parliamentarians of PPP Nauman Islam Shaikh and Nafeesa Shah led a protest at Regional Office of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA)

The protesters have demanded that Sindh should be given proper half of electricity.
