PPP chief Bilawal promises to hold own party men accountable

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday promised people that he will bring to book his party’s lawmakers if they did not fulfill the promises made during election campaign, ARY News reported.

“If my party’s elected representatives cannot fulfil my late mother’s mission of empowering the people of this country, they will face grave consequences,” said Bilawal Bhutto who is currently visiting different cities and towns of Sindh province as a part of his election campaign.

The PPP chief maintained that his party is not afraid of accountability.

“The people of Pakistan are my strength and I want to resolve their problems and deliver. We have given a people-friendly manifesto. I will make sure that it is implemented,” added Bilawal.

In what one can call veiled criticism at anti-PPP alliance GDA, Bilawal said that in the past, every election saw an alliance made against the PPP but this did not deter the party or its workers.

Bilawal Bhutto’s caravan on Tuesday moved from Qasim Chowk to Rahuki, Hatri, Matiari, Hala, Shahdadpur and reached Sanghar.

The party says its chairman will continue his campaign trail in Sindh for a few more days before traveling to other parts of the country for his election campaign.
