PPP, PMLN active for safeguarding current political system

In this regard, Special Aide to the Prime Minister, Tariq Fatemi is holding meetings with some key US officials, while on the other hand former President and PPP co-chairperson, Asif Ali Zardari will also be meeting the US Vice President, Joe Biden during an ‘Iftar dinner’ in Virginia, tomorrow.

Although both of these Pakistani statesmen have discreet political affiliations, yet seem to have a mutual goal and that is to attain US assistance in preventing political instability in Pakistan.

Former President, Asif Ali Zardari has already hinted to support the current democratic system of the state, in each case.

Meanwhile,  PM’s Special Aide, Tariq Fatemi will also hold a meeting with the US Deputy Secretary of State, today.

Moreover, Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif will spend last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia, where he will also try to gain the support of the Saudi officials in his favor.
