President Arif Alvi visits Quaid’s mausoleum

KARACHI: President Dr Arif Alvi on Saturday paid a visit to the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to pay homage to the founder of the nation. 

This was his first visit to the mausoleum after he assumed office of the head of state on Sept 9.

The president laid a floral wreath, offered Fateh and registered his impressions in the visitors’ book.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Provincial Minister for Local Government Saeed Ghani accompanied him during the visit.

President Alvi took oath as 13th president of Pakistan on Sept 9. He is scheduled to address the joint parliamentary session on Sept 17. He will become the 9th president to address the joint session of both the Houses of the Parliament.

Previously, eight presidents have addressed the parliament for a total of 27 times.
