President signs 21st Amendment, Army Act

Pakistan’s National Assembly and Senate passed both bills unopposed after the two houses of the parliament voted in favour of the laws aimed to set up constitutionally protected military courts to try terror suspects.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif thanked political parties for extending their support for 21st Constitutional Amendment.

Addressing the Senate he vowed to wipe out terrorism from the country with the combined effort of all political forces.

He said passage of the bill will bring peace back in the country. He said the move will help to curb terrorism in the country.

The Presidency received the bills from the Parliament’s secretariat which were presented to the President today. The president signed the two legislation bills into acts of law.
