Now he has reportedly been allowed to go back and is making the preparation for his return. He is expected to arrive on Saturday, 9th June 2016. Sources close to the matter revealed that he will be arriving through a chartered aero plane along with members of his family.

Sharif has been in London since 22nd May where he successfully underwent a critical open-heart surgery at the Harley Street Clinic. He has been in rehabilitation to regain his health ever since.

Although he is expected to receive a rapturous welcome on his arrival by his followers and members of his

party, he is also expected to face his political opponents such as Imran Khan of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) who is gearing up for street agitation after the lack of progress over the ToRs committee and parliamentary inquiry into the Panama Papers.

He is also expected to face resistance from cleric Tahir-ul-Qadri who is also gearing for agitations to seek justice over the deaths of his followers in Model Town Incident which killed at least 17 people and wounded around 100 after Police opened fire while attempting to remove a barrier outside their office.

He is also expected to face references filed in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) by several political parties such as the PTI, PPP and PAT seeking his disqualification over several charges including the concealment of assets and tax evasion as revealed in the Panama Papers.
