PM Sharif arrives in Bosnia on three-day official visit

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on a three-day official visit from December 20 to 22.

The prime minister was received by Bosnian Minister for Transport and Communication Mr. Ismir Juskoat upon arrival. He is accompanied by his wife Kulsoom Nawaz and Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi.

During the trip, the premier will hold a one-on-one meeting with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers (Prime Minister), Dr Denis Zvidvic to exchange views on varying regional and international issues of mutual interests.

The two sides will also hold delegation-level talks. “Both countries will review the entire range of bilateral relations with a special focus on political, trade and economic ties, inter-parliamentary linkages and enhancing cultural and educational relations,” a Foreign Office statement said on Tuesday.

PM Sharif will also meet officials of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Presidency, the leaders and members of the lower and upper houses of Parliamentary Assembly, and also the Reis-ul-Ulema, Husein ef Kavazovic.

He will also address Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Business Forum where he is expected to meet members of Foreign Trade Chamber and Foreign Investment Promotion Agency.
